Arrival: Monday, June 30, 2008.
Camp registration 3:00p.
Official Introductions at 4:00p

Departure: Sunday, July 6, 2008.
Arrange for flights at or after 12:30p

What to expect:
This is for athletes interested in learning about or increasing their knowledge in the sport of triathlon.
Participants will receive skill and competency ratings in swim/bike/run, learn more about open water racing, meet with coaches about training plan design, meet and interact with Elite Junior athletes, learn the basics of nutrition and sport psychology, have an in-depth experience with bike maintenance, and more in a fun & safe environment.

The 2007 SMW Skills Camp was host to an international base of athletes ranging in age from 14-19yrs.
All participants received 5 days packed with:

  • Quality, skill-based swim/bike/run & transition workouts
  • Specific sessions taught by professionals in the fields of Nutrition, Sport Psychology, Bike fit, Bike mechanics, and Exercise Physiology
  • Video-tape review of swim, bike, and run done with Dartfish software
  • Computrainer Power Threshold testing
  • Open Water training
  • A 4th of July Celebration at Fiesta Texas and dinner at Hard Rock cafe.

Immediately following the camp all athletes participated in the Heart of Texas Sprint race.
